The proceeds of the cleanup benefit the Catalina Conservancy Divers Given Fund for Ocean Conservation established in the name of Dr. Robert Given and the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber.

Parry is known for early underwater stunt work in the television series Sea Hunt, but the “First Lady of Diving” was also one of the first underwater instructors, a depth record holder and test diver for a number of scuba devices. She has received numerous accolades, including the Diver of the Year Award from the Underwater Society of America, and the Woman Diver of the Year Award from the Woman’s Scuba Association and has been inducted in both the National Association of Underwater Instructors’ Hall of Fame, and the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame.
