Our Commitment
Established in 1989, Ventura Dive & Sport has made every effort to remain ahead of the curve in both recreational diving and diver education. Now in our 20th year, our training department includes two full-time PADI Course Directors, each being dedicated to the safe instruction and the enjoyment of scuba diving. In addition to these two individuals who hold the highest instructor rating offered by PADI, Ventura Dive & Sport also boasts more Master Instructors than any other dive center in California as well as a support staff of Instructors and Divemasters who are waiting to share their knowledge and experience with you.
From the equipment we sell in our showroom to the top-of-the-line equipment we offer in our rental department, we always take the high road with the very best gear that our manufacturers offer. Our custom 46ft Newton Dive Boat, the Raptor, also carries on with the tradition of excellence that our customers have come to expect. The Raptor, like Ventura Dive & Sport, is staffed with the very best divemasters and boat captains around and you will soon learn to appreciate how much they care about your experiences. We never do anything halfway.
As a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center, our training programs are recognized as the finest in the industry. Our training programs are performance-based and student-centered, whether you are in an entry-level course such as Open Water Diver or a professional-level class such as Divemaster. The instructors at Ventura Dive and Sport are here to ensure that each and every dive skill and academic concept is mastered. Featuring dive classes for individuals as well as the entire family, Ventura Dive & Sport features very flexible class schedules and can have you fully trained and certified in just 2 weekends!
Rental Department
We rent everything from masks, fins and snorkels to dive computers, underwater cameras, and Nitrox tanks. Special package prices are available for your basic scuba needs.
Repair Department
Ventura Dive & Sport is committed to surpassing the client’s needs and expectations when it comes to repairs. On site is a state of the art repair center with all the newest tools on the market at the disposal of our three manufacturer trained repair technicians, one of which is full time, we can meet and exceed your repair needs. Ventura Dive & Sport stocks parts kits from all the major manufacturers so that your equipment can be serviced in a timely and efficient manner.
Dive The Raptor!
With a cruising speed of just over 20 knots, the Raptor can have you in the water diving in the beautiful Channel Islands in 40 minutes and back early enough to still have time to clean your gear. The Raptor routinely offers 2 and 3 tank dives to Anacapa and Santa Cruz Islands including food and air. We now offer more advanced trips to wrecks, deeper reefs and pinnacles, coastal reefs and more for some fun diving on the weekends or during the week. Check out the dive schedule.
