Explorer to Anacapa-August 16, 2015
Diving off the Explorer out of Ventura Harbor is always fun and with 3 excellent dives around Anacapa made this August 16th an awesome day out. The day started out with some very nice weather. It was sunny, warm and little wind making it a nice comfortable ride over to the island which is always a good way to start the day.
All three dives were on the backside (Southside) of Anacapa with our first 2 dives around the Aquarium area and the last at Coral Reef. There was lots of healthy kelp, schools of small bait fish, excellent structure with many crevices, warm water (low to mid 60’s) and good vis (30′-60′). We didn’t see any black sea bass but still had lots of fun with a good group of divers and non-divers. As always the crew of the Explorer took good care of us-thank you Explorer dive boat for an excellent day out diving!
