This trip is best suited for
Advanced divers and above that have experience in cold water conditions and possibly including some current, swell, kelp and limited visibility. Dive sites are to be determined by “BEST CONDITIONS” based on water visibility, tides, current, surge, swell and wind. Good buoyancy control and surface signal tubes are always recommended.
*This trip will be perfect for the adventurous advanced diver*
The Big Sur coast has some of the most rugged areas. With miles of coastal line that is just about non-accessible diving it can be difficult. There are a few places like Jade Cove, Partington Cove, Lime Kiln that you can dive from shore but I can tell you from experience it is a work out. Why not make it easy and join CIDA on this easier way to see the Big Sur coastline.
Truth Aquatics has been doing this trip for a number of years now and are the only ones that run trips like this. There are no harbors or marinas between Morro Bay and Monterey but there is lots of EXCELLENT diving. Between them there is still much to explore. The Vision has some favorite areas but depending on weather they always try and check out some new ones. See video on Big Sur.
If you have never been on the Vision than you are really missing out. The Vision was built in 1985 and is 80′ x 26′ . She has a bunk capacity for 46 people maximum in 13 double bunks & 20 single bunks. There is a large galley, upper sundeck, 3 heads and 4 showers aboard the Vision. There are live game wells for the hunters and the stern compartment is used as a wet suit drying room as well as having a freezer for your game and a clothes dryer. Read more about the Vision HERE.
