The DV Triton Dive Boat Information
The DV Triton is new to dive trips around the Channel Islands, local wrecks, and awesome coastal diving and gives divers choices they never had before. The owner of the DV Triton, Danny Graham, has been diving for years as a recreational, Tech and rebreather diver. A few years back he went from working for Nuvair to owning a boat doing commercial urchin diving, and removing old nets and lobster cages. Mid 2023 Danny received his captain’s license and license to operate the boat for six divers. Now Danny can operate the boat for a multitude of work and keep doing what he loves. If you are an Experienced Advanced Diver or above and are looking for something different than the usual diving, the DV Triton is for you.
The Triton is 40′ x 12′ in size and set up for only 6 divers. The back deck is spacious with a nice gear station for four divers in the center of the deck along with two other dive stations at the rear of the boat with plenty of room for dive gear. Exits are made from the sides while the entries are done in the back from a large step below the waterline. As you come up, if you turn around on the rear platform, the crew will remove your tank to help with the step up to the main deck. On the back deck, will be a large tub to be used as a camera rinse tank and if needed there are 60 gallons of fresh water and a hose with a sprayer to rinse off with.
Below the deck is a V-berth for two along with two other lower bunks and a small portable toilet. Inside the small galley/wheelhouse, there is a microwave, toaster oven, sink, and fridge. Drinking water, light snacks, and a hot lunch will be provided on trips. Small ice chests are okay to bring if needed.
Where the Triton lacks in creature comforts it makes up for it with speed, tank fills, and the ability to do things and dive locations you can not with other dive operators. For tank fills there is a 3500 PSI compressor with banked 35% Nitrox and the ability to do custom Nitrox mixes and supply 100% 02. Best to bring your tank full for the first dive and then for the second and third dives you can get Nitrox fills for free.
With the Triton, we also have the chance to do drift dives, spearfish, dive wrecks, dive coastal hot spots, and explore and dive places most people never get a chance to do. For all the CIDA DV Triton trips please check out our Dive Calendar and book your trip now.
DV Triton is located at 3615 Victoria Ave, Oxnard in the Channel Islands Harbor. There is plenty of free parking and the boat is in the first slip as you go down the ramp so loading and unloading is very easy.
